When and why did you start training for fighting? Becoming a professional fighter was a dream of mine ever since I watched the 1st UFC. I used to wrestle in high school and did a little judo out there too. I went into the Marine Corps and trained with Gerald Strebendt for about six months. That is where I got my first look at Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Once I got out I moved to Orlando and started training with Gracie Barra. I’m now part of American Top Team.

What ranks and titles have you held? Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Do you have any heroes? No.

What is your favorite technique? Spinning Back Fist.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I'm still working on my Criminal Justice degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? Marine Corps. I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
