Marvin EastmanTRAINING: Jiu-jitsu training at 11-12:30. Then private Muay Thai fight training with Master Chan for one hour. Then MMA training in the cage with Skipper Kelp or boxing sparring. Sunday is a rest day. On my off days I lift weights like a power lifter because fighting is explosive When and why did you start training for fighting? My first fight in MMA was in 2001 against Rampage, a unanimous decision win for me. What ranks and titles have you held? WEF Light Heavyweight champ, Elite Fighting Light Heavyweight champion, Won Grapplers Quest Heavyweight division in Las Vegas. Do you have any heroes? God and my mother. What is your favorite technique? Use of the elbows, Muay Thai style. What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? A way to redeem myself for the two losses I got fighting in the UFC. I had major personal and physical problems prior to both fights. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? BA degree in Criminal Justice from UNLV, an AA degree from Merced College, with a minor in Ethnic Studies from UNLV. I’m currently 25 units away from a BA degree in Physical Education from UNLV.
