Biographie

DESCRIBE A TYPICAL DAY OF TRAINING: A power workout, which consists of body weight exercises followed by cardio, either running or swimming. A second daily training session consists of fight technique training (i.e. striking, wrestling, and Jiu-Jitsu)


UFC History: Debut

When and why did you start training for fighting?

I grappled in a couple tournaments here in Hawaii. Someone from one of the tournaments asked me to come check out this Fight club, so I went. I got there and had to pretty much prove myself. I had a tough practice that first night but they asked me to come back. A month later I was in my first fight, on my base, in front of a crowd full of Marines. That was January 28th, 2005.


What ranks and titles have you held? Full Contact Showdown Middleweight Champion, Hawaii state Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament 2005 1st place expert class


Do you have any heroes? Randy Couture


What is your favorite technique? Rear Naked Choke


What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is an honor and a privilege, as well as a dream come true. This is where every fighter wants to be. I look forward to the challenge.


Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Marine Corps Recruit Depot Paris Island, South Carolina. I graduated a MARINE!


What was your job before you started fighting? United States Marine Corps
