TRAINING: MMA workout in the morning and JIU JITSU in the afternoon and evening. Eat healthy to reinforce the cardio and strength training.

When and why did you start training to become a fighter? In 2001 I started to train JIU JITSU because I always enjoyed the fight world and I have been a sportsman my entire life. I love competition and I believe inside the Octagon it's the only place a man can really put himself to the test.

What ranks and titles have you held? Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Title holder in the bantamweight division of the biggest event in the South of Brazil, the PFE (Power Fight Extreme).

Do you have any heroes? God, he sacrificed his son's life for us.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? A dream come true. From now on, I can tell and prove to my daughters that if you have a dream and work hard, chase it and you will succeed.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a locksmith and delivery man.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Jiu Jitsu Championships: South Brazilian Championship 2011 (FIRST PLACE), South American Championship 2011 (FIRST PLACE), South American Championship 2008 (SECOND PLACE), MUNDIAL CBJJE 2008 (world championship - THIRD PLACE) and EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2011 (THIRD PLACE).
