Anjo trains for two to three hours every day.UFC History
At UFCJ 1 Ultimate Japan, Anjo lost a unanimous decision to David “Tank” Abbott. At UFC 25 Anjo lost by side choke (arm triangle) to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu stylist Murillo Bustamante in 0:31 seconds of round 2. Anjo is 0 and 3 in the UFCMore Information
Anjo started as a pro wrestler in 1985 for the UWF. He wrestled for new Japan Pro-Wrestling from 1986-88. He wrestled for the second UWF 1988-1991 and has also worked for UWFI and Kingdom. In 1994 Anjo fought Rickson Gracie in a dojo challenge match and was defeated in about three minutes. After the Rickson fight Anjo continued to try to improve his fighting skills. In 1996 Anjo lost to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter Sean Alvarez at the U-Japan (not affiliated with the UFC) show. Anjo tapped out from punches in 34:26. In 1998 Anjo started training intensively in kickboxing and competed in K1 going to a draw with Duncan James. He returned to K1 in 1999 beating Tom Glanville and losing to Musashi.Carrière
