When and why did you start training for fighting? I was just a fan in the beginning, but that eventually led to me wanting to get in the ring and try it out myself.

Accomplishments in amateur competition? Took first place in the U-File grappling tournament

Favorite grappling technique: Leg Locks

Favorite Striking technique: Face stomps. Too bad I won't be able to use them in the
UFC. (Laughs)

Do you have any heroes? Dan Henderson, Hidehiko Yoshida, and Tsuyoshi Kohsaka

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? UFC is the biggest event in the World. It is my first time to fight in a cage and I am really looking forward to it.

What was your job before you started fighting? Construction Worker; I made many buildings in Tokyo
