Biographie

TRAINING: Practice with team at 10:30am, then individual stuff at 5:30pm.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I wrestled my whole life and I thought the idea of a legal street fight was pretty cool.  I also thought it would be cool to be a gladiator like back in the old days.

What ranks and titles have you held? Third in State wrestling tournament, MCC champion.
Do you have any heroes? William Wallace

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Aside from it being my dream forever, I have been training MMA for eleven years, with the UFC being my motivation to keep grinding.  After time passed and I wasn’t there, I wondered if it would ever happen and was faced with the decision, is it time to move on and get a real job and make MMA a hobby and not a lifestyle?   What if I trained my whole life and never made it? At the end of the day I decided I’d rather die chasing my dreams, so I couldn’t stop.  I would never be able to forgive myself if I did. It would haunt me forever.  Eleven years of build up and pressure and I get to let loose in the cage April 16th in the UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Des Moines Area Community College - business degree

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked for a newspaper business
