Main event: Vitor Belfort defeats Dan Henderson
It’s all over! Vitor Belfort hit Hendo with a perfect left foot shot to make him wobbly and begin his descent to the canvas. It didn’t take long after that for him to finish the job for his 13th career first round-finish.

Co-main: Glover Teixeira defeats Patrick Cummins
Glover Teixeira started hot and rode the momentum to victory. He wobbled Cummins twice in the first round and then finished the job by TKO 1:12 into the 2nd round.

Glover Teixeira: “That was the plan, to knock him out in the second round. Patrick is a really tough guy to knock out. He took hard shots in his previous fights, but I knew that with patience, waiting for the right time, that I would win.”
Patrick Cummins: “I would just like to say congratulations to Glover. He fought a good fight, and he was better than me today. It's unfortunate, but that’s just the way it is.”

Thomas Almeida defeats Anthony Birchak
It was like two bulls squaring off, but Almeida continued his impressive streak with a third consecutive knockout to remain undefeated at 21-0. He hit Birchak with a perfect shot late 4:24 into 1st round for the victory.

Thomas Almeida: “I didn’t realize what just happened. I was prepared, trained a lot, and this bout had something special: It was in São Paulo, my hometown. It gave me a greater motivation. I put pressure on myself, and I’m really happy and thrilled for having people in my team that I love and helped me to win.”

Alex Oliveira defeats Piotr Hallmann
WOW! Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira set the crowd alive with his knockout of Piotr Hallmann 51 seconds into the final round.

They said it:
Alex Oliveira: “Thank God – if Dana White wants to give me a bonus why shouldn’t I accept it? It was tough in the second round, but I knew I could turn the game around. I was prepared, asked God for protection and won”

Rashid Magomedov defeats Gilbert Burns
30-27 on all cards by the judges for Rashid Magomedov to hand Gilbert Burns his first defeat.

They said it:
Rashid Magomedov: “God made me win tonight. Durinho is a tough adversary, but my training camp was good. Everything worked, and I’m really happy with the victory.”
Gilbert Burns: “I was feeling strong but I couldn’t do what I trained. I’m disappointed. I invested a lot, trained hard, was prepared, but couldn’t put my strategy in the game. Now it’s time to return to training and erase these mistakes”

Corey Anderson defeats Fabio Maldonado

The fight goes the full three rounds, but Corey Anderson was dominant throughout and wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

They said it:
Corey Anderson: “I trained everything during the camp, but what made the biggest difference was the wrestling. I did land a couple of shots on him in the cage, but I had the advantage in the wrestling and I used it”
Fabio Maldonado: “MMA is a weird thing. I knew I had to hit him a lot, and I knew I should be more careful with the wrestling, but that didn’t happen."

Gleison Tibau defeats Abel Trujillo
It was a bit controversial but Gleison Tibau submitted Abel Trujillo 1 minute, 45 seconds into the fight. Trujillo protested that he never quit, but the Brazilian gets the win via rear-naked choke. The victory is Gleison’s 17th on his UFC career, putting him into a tie for third-most all time with Michael Bisping (Matt Hughes at 18 and Georges St-Pierre at 19 are only ones with more).


They said it:
Gleison Tibau: “I’m really happy. Tonight I completed 26 bouts in the UFC, 17 wins. I can’t wait to break the record of wins in the UFC. To fight in Brazil is so good. From all my fights in the UFC, only four were in Brazil. I want more.”
Abel Trujillo: “The referee stopped it prematurely. The fight was just starting. I didn't tap. It was an unfortunate stop."

Johnny Case defeats Yan Cabral

The fight goes the distance but Johnny Case wins by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) for his 12th consecutive victory.

They said it:
Johnny Case: “I feel great. It was awesome. I had fun. My hard work and my training got me the win. The crowd makes no difference for me. It only matters who’s in the cage. Outside the cage, it doesn’t matter”
Yan Cabral: “For me, I won the first and third rounds. He got off with 15 seconds left on the clock, and I dominated the whole round, but the judges saw a different result”

Thiago Tavares defeats Clay Guida
In a quick twist, Thiago Tavares submits Clay Guida 39 seconds into the fight via guillotine choke. It is the fastest submission in featherweight history.

Thiago Tavares: “I want to thank everyone that believed in my work. I was the underdog in this fight, but I've got the best jiu-jitsu in the division. I've been a black belt for 11 years. Tomorrow, it’s my 31st birthday. It’s a great present, and I’m really happy to represent Florianopolis.”
Clay Guida: “I got caught. I underestimated Tavares' ground game. I got careless. He's a tough guy. My hat is off to him. I’ll be back”

Chas Skelly defeats Kevin Souza

American Chas Skelly defeats Brazilian by rear-naked choke submission 1:56 seconds in the second round. Skelly recovered from getting knocked down in the first round for the victory.

Chas Skelly: “He got a good knockdown, the first of my career, so I’ve got to give him a lot of credit for coming out fighting hard. My thought on the fight is that I've got to get better. But it was a really great fight.”

Viscardi Andrade defeats Gasan Umalatov
The fight goes the distance, with the Brazilian Andrade taking the unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

After a war – highlighted by a second round where both fighters took hard shots and looked wobbly – Jimmie Rivera wins by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).

Matheus Nicolau defeats Bruno Korea

The battle between the two Ultimate Fighter Brazil alums saw Nicolau win by submission 3:27 into the 3rd round
