Alves Out; Masvidal in vs. Henderson

With Thiago Alves forced to withdraw from his UFC Fight Night bout against Benson Henderson due to injury, Jorge Masvidal has agreed to step up and face the former UFC champ on November 28 in South Korea.

The Event will air live on UFC FIGHT PASS from the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul. The search for a replacement to face Masvidal's original opponent on the card, Dong Hyun Kim, is underway. Stay tuned to UFC.com for event updates.

Henderson and Masvidal were briefly scheduled to face each other in April when Bobby Green was forced out of his bout with Masvidal due to injury. But Henderson was subsequently moved to the headlining spot in Broomfield, Colorado, where he made his welterweight debut with a fourth-round submission over Brandon Thatch. Florida's Masvidal lost his April bout to Al Iaquinta by way of a controversial split decision, but "Gamebred" bounced back in his UFC welterweight debut in July, knocking out Cezar Ferreira in the first round and picking up Performance of the Night honors in the process.
