Dodson Returns against Makovsky at UFC 187

The long-awaited Octagon return of number one-ranked flyweight contender John Dodson will take place at UFC 187 on May 23, as “The Magician” takes on number nine-ranked Zach Makovsky at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Sidelined by injury since his June 2014 stoppage of John Moraga, Dodson has won two straight after his razor-thin decision loss to UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson in January of 2013. Philadelphia’s Makovsky has won five of his last six, most recently decisioning Timothy Elliott earlier this month.
