Zuffa Statement on Reza Madadi

Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship®, released the following statement regarding lightweight Reza Madadi:

The UFC organization is aware of the situation involving Reza Madadi’s arrest that took place in Sweden this past weekend. The Swedish MMA Federation (SMMAF) has suspended Madadi from all sporting activities within the jurisdiction for the time being until the issue is resolved. Following SMMAF’s determination, Madadi’s UFC contract has also been suspended pending resolution of this legal matter.
