UFC And Extreme Sports Channel Seal Content Deal In Poland

The UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, and Extreme Sports Channel (ESC) today announced that ESC, the action sports and entertainment channel operated by international broadcaster AMC Networks International – Zone (AMCNI – Zone), has secured the exclusive live rights to air UFC events on its Polish feed.
This four-year deal sees ESC air all live UFC events, consisting of over 40 action packed events from around the world every year. The deal also includes extensive additional programming including shows from the UFC’s spectacular archive.
The partnership kicks off with ESC’s live coverage of UFC Fight Night: Gonzaga vs Cro Cop 2 live from the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poland on Saturday April 11. This event headlines the long-awaited heavyweight rematch between Gabriel Gonzaga and Croatian legend Mirko Cro Cop. Two Polish fighters also feature on the card: Jan Blachowicz returns home to fight Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa in the light heavyweight category, while Bartosz “The Butcher” Fabinski will face the Garreth McLellan in a middleweight bout.
Tanya Gugenheim, Chief Business and New Media Officer, AMCNI – Zone, says of the deal, “We are thrilled to embark on a partnership with UFC, one of the most iconic sports brands out there, and to be the exclusive live broadcaster of world class UFC events in Poland.”
Tim MacMullen, General Manager, ESC, adds, “Extreme Sports Channel is all about showcasing the very best action and entertainment from around the globe.  UFC is an amazing organisation and one that we’ve long admired. With one of the richest offerings in world sport and some of the globe’s greatest athletes, we’re delighted to add UFC to our portfolio of programming.”
