Fight Night Presser and Bonus Recap

Read below to find out who took home Fight Night bonuses at UFC Fight Night in Barueri

Five fighters joined UFC Managing Director of International Development Marshall Zelaznik at the UFC Fight Night in Barueri post-fight press conference: Jake Shields, Demian Maia, Dong Hyun Kim, Fabio Maldonado, and Raphael Assuncao

Dong Hyun Kim took home Knockout of the Night after his second-round finish of Erick Silva. Silva connected on 28 significant strikes before the "Stun Gun" Kim landed a vicious left hand midway through the second round to send Silva to the canvas. Kim followed that blow with a single hammerfist before referee Mario Yamasaki called a stop to the fight.

Fight of the Night went to Assuncao and TJ Dillashaw for their three-round thriller. The two bantamweights engaged in a back-and-forth war which saw the Brazilian, Assuncao, get an upset victory in front of his home crowd.

Rousimar Palhares recorded the only submission in Barueri but the Submission of the Night bonus was withheld pending an investigation. According the Zelaznik, the commission is looking into the length of time Palhares held his submission. The bonus and UFC action will be re-evaluated once the investigation is finished.

Each bonused fighter received $50,000 for their efforts.
