To open the press conference, White announced the success of the second UFC card solely available on Fight Pass. The event, which sold out in 36 hours, was seen in 176 countries and reached 194 million households in Europe.

White continued the positive tone by announcing the post-fight awards soon after. Gustafsson and opponent Jimi Manuwa were awarded Fight of the Night, with "The Mauler" also taking home Performance of the Night for finishing the fight by knockout.

Martial arts veteran Diabate fielded questions after announcing his retirement following a 20-plus year fight career. The crowd of journalists erupted in applause for the former PRIDE competitor, who stated that he still had things to accomplish outside of the Octagon.
